OFLC completes random assignments of H-2b visa

Randomization Process on H-2B Visa. DOL announced it has completed the randomization process for all H-2B applications, requesting an April 1, 2023, work start date that were submitted during the initial three-day filing window, January 1–3, 2023. DOL received a total of 8,693 H-2B visa applications requesting 142,796 worker positions during this filing period. OFLC received a total of 5,677 H-2B applications requesting 99,362 worker positions during this filing period. OFLC will be providing written notification to employers (and the employer’s authorized attorney or agent) with their H-2B Assignment Group. On January 8, 2020, OFLC will also publish on its website the list of the H-2B applications assigned to each Assignment Group. Randomization Process on H-2B Visa typically takes two to four months, but it could take longer. Premium processing could significantly reduce the total period of time required to process the H-2B visa petition (it can be ready within 15 days). These visas allow you to come to the United States to work temporary positions. To obtain an H-2B visa, your U.S. employer or agent must file Form I-129 on your behalf.
