Public Awareness of Trafficking Victims. Increasing public awareness about the risks and signs of human trafficking is an important piece of any anti-trafficking strategy. Victims often have quotas and can face severe punishment if they do not perform adequately. This care includes medical care, psychological counseling, legal assistance, and social support. The ultimate goal of victim assistance is to help trafficking victims rebuild their lives and regain their independence. Victims of human trafficking are young children, teenagers and people. ICE launched a PSA campaign to draw public attention to the plight of human-trafficking victims in the US.
