NIBF partnership to help low-income immigrant families in North Carolina

Improving access of low-income immigrant families

On September 1, 2009, the National Immigrant Bond Fund launched a partnership with the Southern Coalition for Social Justice to provide legal and bond assistance to low-income immigrants.

Many immigrants detained in North Carolina are placed in removal proceedings through their contact with local law enforcement under 287(g) agreements with ICE.
