Abortion worries heightened for unauthorized immigrants
Immigrants Seeking Abortions. After the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade, some states have implemented near to total abortion bans. Colorado Organization for Latina Opportunity and Reproductive Rights (COLOR) reported a rise in women calling from out-of-state, many Spanish speaking immigrants, concerned about how their immigration status could impact their ability to access abortions. The different state laws regarding abortion create barriers for immigrant women.
