Following the Supreme Court’s June 30 ruling in Biden v. Texas, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas vacated the permanent injunction issued in August 2021 requiring DHS to reimplement the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP). DHS issued a statement welcoming the decision and summarizing steps it will take to wind down MPP.
