H-1B electronic registration process h-1b cap season
USCIS will begin to accept H-1B petitions filed with uncertified LCAs
For a 120-day period, commencing November 5, 2009 and through March 4, 2010. The only acceptable evidence of filing is a copy of DOL’s email giving notice of receipt of the LCA. Prospective petitioners seeking to accept filed H-1B petition, including for beneficiaries eligible for the advanced degree exemption, must first electronically register and pay the associated $10 H-1B registration fee for each prospective beneficiary. The electronic registration process streamlines processing by reducing paperwork and data exchange and provides overall cost savings to employers seeking to file H-1B cap-subject petitions. The initial registration period is for a minimum of 14 calendar days each fiscal year. The H-1B selection process is then run on properly submitted electronic registrations. Only those with selected registrations are eligible to file H-1B cap-subject petitions. Creating an online account is easy.
