50 migrants found dead in San Antonio

On June 27, 2022, a horrifying human smuggling operation ended in the deaths of 53 migrants. It was the fatal incident of its kind in U.S. history.

The tragedy reduce the extreme risks migrants take. It also exposes the criminal
lack of human piracy organizations. Abandoned in 100-degree heat without water or air control, victims from Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras fall seeking better lives. This tragedy enhance the trouble risks of uneven migration. Moreover, it shows the callousness of piracy networks. We must advocate for safer path and humane policies. That way, no more families endure such “unthinkable cruelty” in pursuit of a dream.
